A new initiative has been created
that will join the business and engineering programs in
one location on 10.8 acres
just east of Belvidere Street. This endeavor will integrate
and promote the interdisciplinary nature of the two schools,
preparing future engineers and business leaders to enter
and succeed in the ever-growing world of high-tech industry.
The vision for this educational village, which will co-locate
a new School of Business and expanded School of Engineering,
includes residential colleges, an executive training center,
beautifully landscaped courtyards, dining facilities and
other high-end amenities.
It is estimated that it will
cost $213 million to fully develop the site. It is projected
that around $66 million
will need
to come from private gifts during the first phase of
development.
