Goals of session
- Give you overview of the summer's events
- Give you a minimal competence in a wet lab (if you need a minimal competence in a wet lab)
- Give a brief introduction to using personal programming to solve problems in molecular biology
- Determine with whom you're going to be working this summer
Outline of session
- ~8:30 (If you don't already have a VCU ID card) You've already gone to the VCUcard office in the Technology Administration Building, 701 W. Broad, having brought some form of picture ID
- ~9:00 Breakfast, in Life Sciences atrium
- Submit online preferences for VCU mentor in computer lab (Rm 104), if you have not done so already
- ~9:15 Overview of Institute
- Maybe essentials of the wet lab
- Guided tour on personal programming and molecular biology

Read just enough to answer the question at the end of the notes.
