Introduction to the Institute

Time: Wednesday, 30 May, 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Place: Bioinformatics Computer Core Lab (Rm 104), Life Sciences Bldg

Audience: Primarily 1st year students
Problem Set

Goals of session

  • Give you overview of the goals of the institute
  • Give you overview of the summer's events
  • Give you a minimal competence in a wet lab (if you need a minimal competence in a wet lab)
  • Give a brief introduction to using personal programming to solve problems in molecular biology

Materials (click on links to reach notes)

    Read as much of the following as you think pertinent

    The following is those who think that wet lab skills will be useful.
    Read just enough to answer the question at the end of the notes.
    If you're bored to insensibility, stop.
    We'll use the following during the session, but feel free to look ahead.

Please bring the following:

  • Apartment Dwellers Agreement Form (filled out by all co-dwellers)
