Postdoctoral research scholar in molecular and nanoscale modeling

A theoretical postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Chemistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Research concerns fundamental aspects of hydration processes in nanoscale confinements, with applications to biological self-assembly, superhydrophobicity and materials.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in the area of physics, chemistry, chemical engineering or related fields completed within the past three years or soon to be completed.

Skills and knowledge
Experience with molecular modeling and excellent computer programming skills are essential, as well as a good grasp of physical chemistry and effective skills in spoken and written English. Candidates should have a strong background in statistical mechanics and advanced simulation techniques.
