Workshop Overview
The VCU CSBC short course on Differential Equation Models in Cardiovascular and Cardiopulmonary Modeling and Simulations is designed to introduce clinician and biomedical scientists to the application of appropriate theoretical and computational models to cardiopulmonary and cardiovascular dynamics, ranging from cellular and biomolecular scale topics to mechanical biophysics and fluid dynamics. Participants will be split into two groups so that all participants can attend all lectures, thereby receiving the same learning opportunities. Plan to arrive by 6pm on 15 October 2008 for the opening dinner ceremony and guest lecture. Classes will begin promptly the morning of 16 October and continue through 19 October when we will have the closing dinner ceremony where students will receive their completion certificates.
