This is a children's story in German by Wilhelm Busch (1832-1908) incorporating the original illustrations. The division of the story into four parts corresponds to the first serial publication of the story in Die illustrierte Welt (1867).
There is a multimedia edition of part 1 featuring voice recordings (AIFF) and German/English glosses geared to intermediate German learners. There is also a version with WAV audio files (for Windows users) as well as one with video (QuickTime; local access only).
