“In 1977 I was a freshman and can remember getting turned around and driving the wrong way down Shafer Street, of course, looking for a parking space on my way to classes in what is now Harris Hall. Inside that building, I learned from some of the greatest information system teachers in the world. Bob Duvall, Mike Kowalski, Rich Napier, Joyce Forrest, Jim Wynne come immediately to mind. Collectively, they knew how to make us into desired employees of the IT community. It was that clear commitment to my success that permanently endeared me to the School. I owe my subsequent success to the foundation that they, their colleagues, the IS department, and the Business School established.”
