• Problem sets: The consensus seems to be that you should hand in answers to some fraction of the problem sets and that answers should be posted shortly thereafter. So be it. I think that Monday would be a good day in general to collect your answers. This week, however, we'll set Wednesday. Three problems of your choice.
  
  
• Research proposals: Due Monday, June 16. Instructions are now online. Go to Institute, News, Events, and click on Research Proposal. (I realize this is a crazy route to get there. I have to reorganize this web site real soon) Feel free to discuss the proposal with me beforehand, and OF COURSE discuss it with your mentor(s).
  
  
• Athletic facilities: Susan Boling, Director of Recreational Sports, has been sent everyone's social security numbers. Anyone who wants should now be able to buy access to the facilities. It will cost $25 for access up to August 7. They take money or checks (no credit cards). Bring one of those plus your ID to the Siegel Center office (1200 W Broad, a block west of Harrison). Access includes swimming at Franklin St. pool 12:30 to 2:30 pm M-F and MCV campus pool (I think up to 7:30 pm). There is also weekend access at MCV pool (I think) 3:00pm to 6:30 pm Sat and Sun.
