The Dance Space: (6004-A West Broad Street, Richmond) The Dance Space Website: Swing dancing every Saturday night (Cheap! $5), with lessons included at 7;30 PM. This is LOTS of fun! Also ballroom and Country/Western

The Byrd Theatre: (2908 West Cary Street) The Byrd Theatre Website: Second run movies (Cheap! $2) in a theater with an organ

Dogwood Dell: (Maymont Park) The Dogwood Dell Website: Free music all summer. Schedule can be found here.

*Note that with your VCU student ID cards you can ride the VCU Campus Connector Bus to get around Richmond. Information on its stops and its go's can be found here. (Note also that its weekend schedule is different than its weekday schedule...)

3. Belle Isle/Brown's Island: Park/bike trails. Lots of bands come here to play during the summer as well.Belle Isle and Brown's Island

4. John Marshall's home: The Home of the Supreme Court JusticeJM's Home's Website

5. White House of the Confederacy and Civil War Musuem: An amazing history museum... Includes an original copy of the Confederate Constitution.The Museum Website

6. Maymont Park: A great old mansion built in the early 1900's by the Railroad and Coal Tycoon Dooley. Decorations rival European mansions, and you can tour the house for free. Park includes petting zoo and acres of amazing gardens and fields (perfect for frisbee). Bikes are not allowed.D and a Official Maymont Parks and Grounds Website

7. Agecroft Hall: A really cool English Home shipped and reassembled from England. Includes gardens and view of the James River. Official Agecroft Website
